Matt Jordan’s practice is focused in the area of workers’ compensation law. Prior to joining The Law Offices of Benjamin Y. Gerber, Matt worked for over 5 years representing insurance companies, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators in defense of workers’ compensation claims. He began his legal career serving as an Assistant District Attorney for the Western Judicial Circuit in Athens, GA. He is a 2011 graduate of the Leadership Academy of the State Bar of Georgia.
While attending law school, Matt served as the Chief Judge of the Trial Advocacy Board and was a member of Cumberland School of Law’s National Trial Team. He was the recipient of the Papantonio Trial Advocacy Award, the James O. Haley Scholarship, and the Scholar of Merit Award for Advanced Trial Advocacy. In 2005, he was inducted into The Order of Barristers.
Matt has earned the AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a distinction that signifies he has reached the pinnacle of the legal profession as determined by peer review. He is also rated 10.0/10.0 Superb by AVVO.
In addition to his practice with the firm, Matt is active with the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association and enjoys spending time with his wife and two rescue dogs.
